The Bener Meriah region is considered one of the most important Arabica coffee-producing areas in Indonesia, characterized by its mountainous terrain with elevations ranging from 1100 to 1500 meters above sea level. This variety in altitudes contributes to the development of a wide spectrum of unique and distinctive flavors for which the coffee grown there is famous. The harvest season in Benir Merya begins in late October and continues until the end of June. Harvesting time varies depending on the altitude, with lower-altitude areas starting first, followed by harvesting in higher-altitude areas, allowing for crop collection over several months. Coffee processed using the drying method, like this batch, is considered one of the most difficult types to produce in Indonesia. This requires us to keep everything completely organic and natural, which increases the challenges and risks associated with production. In this method, coffee beans are dried directly under the sun without removing the outer husk or washing the beans as in other methods, which gives them a distinctive character and a unique flavor that reflects the rich nature of the region.
